Raoul found his calling in real estate, buying his first property just out of university. He founded Loftliving in 2009, and has since led and managed over HK$200m in acquisitions and renovations, split across twenty residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
He spent 10-years working in the area of Prime Brokerage with international investment banks including Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Societe Generale.
Raoul was born in South Africa and gained a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance Honours) from the University of Cape Town, before settling in Hong Kong in 2004.
He is an active member and guest panelist of Hong Kong’s Urban Land Institute. In his spare time, Raoul enjoys spending time with his Wife and leading a healthy lifestyle including travel, yoga, hiking, water sports, skiiing and tennis.

A clear market gap was seized for well designed long stay accommodation, by creating a portfolio of living spaces in gentrifying neighbourhoods across Central and Western Districts. We bought old units and repositioned them through loft-inspired renovations.
Strong drivers of value were identified in the form of the infrastructural and logistics themes impacting the Tuen Mun district. The opportunity was to buy large industrial floor space and reposition into smaller subdivided workshops for lease, aimed at the SME sector.
